Sony caused a major stunning “earthquake” in the photographic world when it released the first compact system cameras which has the full-frame sensors, that one was 24Mp Alpha 7and 36Mp Alpha 7R. Those cannot be beyond by any other manufacturer until now which is very amazing. The following article is written for how to work well with Sony A7II recordings.

Now Sony has created new waves of excitement by introducing an update to this A7 into A7 II. However, some users may consider that the updates and difference may very small between those tow. Like the vast majority of the new camera’s components, for example, the sensor is the same 24Mp devices that once used in the original A7.But we can’t deny that there do have some updates in this new version A7 II.

Let’s take a look about the new features of this Sony A7 II
1,Faster focus
Sony has claimed that new focusing algorithms enable a 30% increase in AF speed, with faster and longer high-speed drive as well as better Lock –on AF and 1.5 x improvements. And they gains big time in both focus accuracy and speed. In most portrait situations the AF speed is adequate as well as for most wedding types of coverage. In the field of a Sports illustrated shooting situation and some magazine action assignment, Sony A7II may not reach its best. But never mind, those fields are not the target market.

2, Improved Videos——XAVC-S ands-Log 2
A pro-video upgrade has been added in this camera, which it shares with its sibling A7S. It has S-Log video and goes down to 1600ISO, which is one full stop lower than it does on the A7S. Though it doesn’t have 123fps like A7 but for normal photographers, these will definitely not a problem for them.

3, Improved Image Quality
If you take this camera to shoot, then you may notice a slight difference to the look of the images compared to previous Sony models. Under this Picture Profile 1 model, you will find a nice, film-like appearance to it when rendering it.
4, better, more solid build quality
This camera’s outlook is also very compact and sharp. Not only for its finished a matter, texture black, but its 100grams heavier and uses more magnesium alloy in the body makes it feel better in your hands. You can check the bottom of the camera and you will understand what I am saying.

How to deal with the videos came from this Sony A7II?
With these stunning videos came from your camera, most of them are XAVC-S, AVCHD,MP4.  If you shot at the MP4 mode , then it will be no problem about the following steps no matter you want to display them or import them into some editor to do some edits. Or

For Example: Transcode your Sony A7II XAVC recordings to MOV for some popular NELs?

But most users will choose AVCHD or XAVC-S to have a better quality and high definition. But the format of those two models is the *.MTS which is not a very friendly format. So if you want to keep the good quality and to do some edits on them , what you need is a Sony XAVC Video Converter

First, please download this Pavtube HD Video Converter for Macand have a quick installation. Then you can load your videos by clicking “File”>”Add Video/Audio’ or directly drag them into this software is also OK.

Also , you can click the “Settings” to have adjust your parameters if you want to make your videos more suitable with your Tablet.
With the build-in editor, even you don’t have other edit software; you can still create your own personal movies. Click “Pencil” icon to go to this Edit UI. Trim by video by simply moving those two arrows under these two windows; crop your videos if you don’t want the black bar. Add your own watermarks and subtitles are also very easy to do .
If you personally owned some powerful edit software, like FCP, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere. The MTS files are not very compatible with those editors. So you can still use this all-in-one HD Converter to help you solve this problem.
First, download this HD Video Converter and install it step by step. Then go to the format bar to see choose the correctly output settings. Take this Adobe Premiere for example, just choose the “Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas”>”MPEG-2(*.mpg) ” as the output format.

After all those steps have been settled, you can just go back to the main UI and hit the “Convert” button to start your conversion. Remember to make sure that your output folder has enough space to store your converted videos.
