digisns76 No Comments

Yuneec has been making fantastic aerial photography drones since before the word “drone” was part of the popular vernacular, and the company’s Typhoon line has consistently been one of the best in the business. But just like every other drone manufacturer in the game, Yuneec has also been living in the shadow of DJI for the past few years. No matter how advanced or capable Yuneec’s Typhoon drones have gotten, the company just can’t seem to unseat DJI from its throne. It can shoot video in 4K at 30 frames per second, or 1080p at 60 frames per second — but this beast has a bigger sensor, a faster processor, and wider field of view (115 degrees) than its predecessor. So, what is currently the best and most efficient way to work with Typhoon-H 4K video in Final Cut Pro X? Now get some tips and tricks for importing and editing Typhoon-H 4K material in FCP X.

Does Final Cut Pro Support 4K?

As long as you have an understanding of how each operates, you will be ready to edit your 4K video. Some of the latest versions can even support resolution of up to 5K which just offers you more opportunities. Ideally, you should not be thinking too much about the resolution but formats used.

Compatibility is very critical for a successful editing of 4K videos so you should not proceed without an assurance on this one. digisns76 No Comments

The DJI Phantom Vision 2+ is an easy-to-set-up and ultimately simple-to-pilot quadcopter drone for aerial photos and video. With the Phantom 2 Vision+, you can records 1080p H.264 MP4 formats, but most users may find a problem when loading/transferring th Avid Media Composere recorded 1080p H.264 footages to Avid Media Composer for editing. While Avid Media Composer does work with DJI Phantom 2 1080p video, these H.264 versions are clunky to edit requiring much rendering when in a Avid Media Composer timeline.

Phantom 2 Vision+ camera Spec:

The Phantom 2 Vision+ Quadcopter with Gimbal-Stabilized 14MP, 1080p Camera from DJI is based on the same air frame as the Phantom 2 and Phantom 2 Vision. Unlike its siblings, however, it features a 14 MP camera that is stabilized and controlled with an integrated 3-axis gimbal. Gimbal stabilization makes the Phantom 2 Vision+ ideal for shooting aerial footage and photos. The camera can take 14 MP, Adobe DNG RAW photos, and can record video in 1080p Full HD at 30 fps or 720p at 60 fps for creating slow motion effects.

Avid Media Composer (or simply Avid) is a film and video editing software application. This non-linear editing system (NLE) is the flagship product of Avid Technology. It was released in 1989 on the Macintosh II as an offline editing system. Since that time, the application features have increased to allow for film editing, uncompressed standard definition (SD) video and high definition (HD) editing and finishing. Since the early 1990s, Media Composer has been the dominant non-linear editing system in the film and television industry, first on Mac and then also on Windows. However, this new released Avid Media Composer does not support well with DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ H.264 videos.

In order to process DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ clips fast and seamless in Avid Media Composer , it requires that the H.264 video to be transcoded into a format better suited to editing, and this would usually be DNxHD(*.mov), which is the best intermediate codec developed specifically for seamless Avid MC workflow.

According to our many tests, the best way is to choose a Phantom 2 Vision+ Video Converter for Mac to convert Phantom 2 Vision+ 1080p H.264 Video to DNxHD(*.mov) for Avid Media Composer. From there you can load Phantom 2 Vision+ Video via one simple click instantly without long-time rendering. (read the top HD video converter for Mac review

What’s more, this powerful Avid MC video converter for Mac also cn convert other videos from camera etc like Canon EOS Rebel T6 MPEG-4/H.264Canon C300 Mark II MXFXAVC SSony RX10 III AVCHD/MPEG-4 and more video to Avid Media Composer friendly formats and other editors for mac.

I want to import a file that was originally a .mkv file. Because Premiere does not use .mkv files, I simply changed the file extension to .avi. The file is about 1.42 GB. But whenever I try to import the file as a .avi, my program freezes and I get a (Not Responding) error on the dialog box at the top of the program. When this happens I am always forced to close the program. Am I experiencing this simply because the files I am attempting to import are too big? Or is it something else?”

The video files with the file extensions that DaVinci Resolve support include: ARI, MTS, MXF, AVI, CIN, DNG, DPX, RMF, CDX, DCP, MP4, MOV, EXR, TIFF, VRW R3D, JPG, J2C, etc, but which does not mean every video format on the above supporting list can be imported into DaVinci Resolve successfully. The video codecs in the supporting video format also decide whether the video file can be edited successfully or not, like MOV. So sometimes you may encounter the following MOV Davinci Resolve not importing issue:

Cyberlink PowerDirector Format Supported

On Cyberlink PowerDirector’s specifications page, it is clearly displayed what kind of video files are supported by the program. Check out the latest PowerDirector 14 Ultra editable format below:

b. Import/Export High Frame Rate Video?

PowerDirector’s unique decoding algorithms make for seamless importing, editing and producing video shot at 120/240fps. Imported 120/240fps video can be trimmed, color and lens corrected, and edited before being rendered at the same frame rate.

2. HEVC (H.265) & FLAC

a. FLAC Audio Support

FLAC is the audio codec of choice for people who care about sound quality. PowerDirector now lets you import FLAC audio files to add perfect quality audio to your videos.

b. H.265/HEVC Import and Export

H.265 provides same compression quality with 32% size of H.264 videos, which saves valuable space and bandwidth when you want to watch videos on mobile devices or download videos from internet.

3. XAVC-S & AVCHD 2.0

a. XAVC-S Certified

XAVC-S is the latest open standard of 4K and HD videos. PowerDirector is XAVC-S certified, which allows you to import XAVC-S videos, and produce MP4 videos up to 3840 x 2160/60p.

b. AVCHD 3D/Progressive

Support for AVCHD 2.0 (3D/Progressive) format, which supports 50/60p progressive frame rates at FullHD resolution.

Note: The supported file formats depend on the version of CyberLink PowerDirector you have installed on your computer. Check the version table for detailed versioning information.Reason Why facing problems with importing videos in PowerDirector

As above, the latest PowerDirector 14 Ultra supports most standard and high-definition video formats and codecs like 4K UltraHD, AVCHD 3D/Progressive, XAVC-S and H.265. What’s more, PowerDirector 14 has significantly improved video performance when working with the popular WMV format, as well as adding FLAC audio editing support—the format of choice for people who care about sound quality.

However, older version of Cyberlink PowerDirector software does not support many file formats like MKV, MOV, MXF, Prores, etc. The video editing process will not be smooth in Cyberlink PowerDirector owing to codec compatibility issues and computer configuration. For example, an MKV file with DTS audio can’t be rendered in PowerDirector.
