digisns76 No Comments

The new Fujifilm X-T2 has better AF and can do UHD 4K video… for 10 minutes. But add a Vertical Power Booster Grip to it and your UHD 4K recording time extends to approximately 30 minutes. Fujifilm X-T2 records in MPEG-4 and outputs its files as .MP4 files (the container). Files are compressed using the h.264 codec (as opposed to AAC or Xvid and DivX usually found in .AVI containers).

Lightworks is a decentralized canvas of free-floating windows that users can create or dismiss at their convenience. This allows you to create a workflow that is completely customized to your needs. This is great because each video editing project is different, and every video editor has a unique style. This approach is a very nice alternative to the one-size-fits-all approach of the industry-standard applications.

Top 5. SpeedEDIT

Available as an optional download for most current TriCaster systems, NewTek SpeedEDIT is a resolution-independent nonlinear video editor designed to work quickly and efficiently on any project. HD, SD or Web. With a streamlined workflow and powerful, professional tools that will enhance any post production pipeline. And native support for most popular file formats – ready to use the moment you drop them in. No transcoding necessary. Save valuable time by mixing formats and resolutions in the same timeline.

Pavtube Video Converter for Mac is the best and smart alternative to the DaVinci Resolve. Its biggest advantage is how customizable, lightweight and versatile it is. It doesn’t have everything you can find in the best pro video editing software, but you can get more or less the same results with it. You can have a try!

Best solution for handling GoPro 4k Videos

digisns76 No Comments

Outline: If you want to edit or play GoPro 4K videos but found your video application or program does not support 4K videos, you can firstly convert GoPro 4K video format with appropriate codec, then import them to your own video application for further editing on PC or Mac. In this guide, we will suggest the top 4K video converter, editor tools and briefly describe how you can convert or edit GoPro 4K videos on PC and Mac with them for better managing the GoPro 4K.

GoPro makes the most popular cameras for sports. We are glad to know that the new Hero4 Black model now supports 4K video recording. You have a bunch of 4K footage on your GoPro camera, and try to play the video files with your current media player such as VLC, but find that the video footage appears to jump from frame to frame rather than playing smoothly as it should. Or you can play 4K videos on LG UHD TV sets, Samsung 4K TV, Sony 4K TV, etc. You will be able to play back GoPro 4K videos in 4K resolution on a 4K TV through a USB card reader or USB drive. Likewise, if you want to playback or edit 4K videos on PC or Mac, it has to be a 4K capable computer, otherwise the 4K video recorded by GoPro will likely play back choppy on your computer and you may not be able to edit the 4K content using video editors on your computer.

If you experience choppy, jerky, or broken up playback when viewing GoPro 4K video files, or can’t import and edit GoPro 4K with editors, it is not your camera problem, the problem lies with the codec and the high 4K resolution. The GoPro Hero cameras use H.264 method to compress and decompress the footage very heavily. This means that they take up less space on the card but, on the flip side, makes them very hard for your computer to play back. To make GoPro video files recognized by your computer and therefore play back much more smoothly, you should change the video footage to a less compressed, more easily worked format.

Here are the easiest ways to down convert your GoPro 4K video with the top GoPro 4K Video Converter. (learn how to compress 4K to 1080p)

Whether you’re a first-time drone user or a seasoned pilot, the Chroma’s top-of-the-line 4K camera and agile navigation lets users of all abilities capture that epic shot right out of the box.

After capturing, you may wanna import these 4K videos into Premiere for further editing. While, the problem is that it is difficult for Premiere to support native Blade Chroma 4K videos.

To be frankly, Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 can handle (usually) 4K files without much problem, but it is extremely hardware intensive. If you wanna edit Blade Chroma 4K videos in Premiere without any issue, you can have a try to encode Blade Chroma 4K files to Premiere friendly format, MPEG-2 with a professional third party program.

What I used is Pavtube Video Converter for Mac (Read Review). With it, you can effortlessly encode/re-encode Blade Chroma 4K footage for smoothly importing and editing in various non-linear editing systems (NLE), including Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, FCE and more. If you work 4K files in Adobe Premiere Pro on Windows PC, please get Pavtube Video Converter to solve the issues.

Tips: What’s New in Adobe Premiere Pro 2015.3?

New Lightweight Proxies

This is a great new feature that makes your machine more capable of editing video and watching the edit without any lag or rainbow wheel detracting from the experience. You can now keep the footage on a hard drive, and you have the option of importing the footage while making proxies that Premiere will use for you to edit with. And you can switch between the proxy view and original footage view by clicking one button.

If you export to your Creative Cloud, the files are accessible on your mobile devices too, so you can edit while on the move or if you need to pack light.

Edit While You Import

They really worked on the flow of editing video. It seems as though they listened to the editors out in the field, and improved on the ideas they brought to the party. You can now import footage while you edit it, and as soon as the import is completed Premiere automatically switches to the copied files and frees up the camera.

This is amazing for the small production team having only one camera shooting and limited time. It means you can free up time doing both importing and editing, rather than one or the other.

Enhanced Performance and Stability

Not only will you have better performance with the new lightweight proxies feature, you’ll also have less dropped frames across your devices. Adobe now has initial support from Apple Metal and h264 hardware decoding.

You can now isolate and fine-tune colors. White balancing is made easier and you can make subtle shade adjustments. The creative color panel is also reloaded so you can slide through presets and see what the color rendition will be. By clicking on it, the effect will be applied. You can also remove it with the same slider, or change the settings individually too. Your eyes will quickly adjust to these new colors so it is easy to toggle the preset effect on and off to make sure it’s done in the initial way you intended.

New Shortcuts

You can zoom in and out of individual frames of your timeline using = and -. This is great if you need to focus on a specific part of the sequence.
Navigate between clips start and end points by using Fn + Right or Fn + Left.
Remove Effects by selecting it and pressing Delete.

VR Support

We know VR is an exciting new frontier of video experience. It is already enhancing a walkthrough of a house before it’s built or giving us the ability to walk around with some dinosaurs for fun. If you want to edit virtual reality video, Adobe has already added dual-screen editing in the previous release. Now you can use pan and tilt controls to preview the experience from the viewer’s perspective. (If you want to view 3D movies with some VR headset, you can read how to change 2D/3D to VR headset supported 3D )

Open Captions

Subtitles can now stay on the screen. You also have a lot more options. You can choose open or closed captions, and you can select fonts, color, size, and positioning. So you can now be rest-assured that the footage and subtitles are going to be on the screen, and your message will get conveyed in the way you want it to be.

You Can Publish Directly to Social Media

This makes the workflow much more streamlined. Instead of exporting to your desktop and then loading it into Dropbox for Vimeo, or uploading it to YouTube, Premiere can do this automatically using the Adobe Media Encoder.

Safer Collaboration With Libraries

You can now share files using Creative Cloud Libraries, and you can set files to be read-only, so your team members can use the files but not change or delete them. You can also find content faster with a new Libraries workspace and filtered search of Adobe Stock.
