Step by Step to Transcode and Compress 4K Video for Pinnacle Studio Editing
Step 1: Load 4K video into the program.
Open the program, click “File” menu, from its drop-down option, select “Add Video/Audio” to load 4K video to the program.
Step 2: Choose output file format.
If you are using an old version Pinnacle Studio or running Pinnacle 18 OR later version on old computer, you can use the program to compress 4K video to 1080p by outputting one of Pinnacle Studio supported HD editing format such as “HD Video” > “AVI HD Video(*.avi)”.
If you are loading one of Pinnacle Studio 18 or later version unsupported 4K video to edit on a powerful computer, just output one of Pinnacle Studio compatible 4K format such as “H.264 High Profile Video(*.mp4)” under “Common Video” main category.
Step 3: Enable GPU Encode Acceleration.
Click “Tools” > “Options”, in the opened “Options” window, click “Acceleration” menu, then check “Enable GPU Encode Acceleration” otpion so that the program will accelerate converion speed when encoding video/Blu-ray/DVD to H.265/HEVC codec.
